There are 3 main types of trauma...

ACUTE TRAUMA

Acute trauma often refers to a single incident or event that was traumatizing.

CHRONIC TRAUMA

Trauma that was prolonged in nature, or repeated over various events.

COMPLEX TRAUMA

Trauma that was repeated, prolonged, or tied to various traumatic events.
